This is the internet, and as we saw with the use of hybrid warfare including bots and "sock puppet" accounts by Russian intelligence services during the 2016 American election, anonymity has a corrosive effect on free discourse. In the end, it seems accountability is an essential component of the free exchange of ideas. Therefore, it's important that we reveal ourselves so that we can stand by our words and be held accountable for them.
